A smart example of how one of our designs for a single storey rear orangery extension can totally transform your living space without breaking the bank! Floor plans show the new arrangement. A new open plan kitchen and dining space with contemporary features gave this client an impressive feature room. Bi-folding doors let the outdoor space in! A large roof lantern floods the natural light in keeping this new space bright and spacious.
This traditional cottage had an oak framed glazed sunroom created bringing a fresh modern look to the existing property. Situated in the Peak District National Park, we had to pay attention to the materials and ensure the proposal was in keeping with the area. Floor plans showing the new arrangement. The sunroom allows the outside in with light streaming in from all sides. EDS in house structural team designed the steel frame that supports the oak frame finish. The new sunroom replaced this old flat roof conservatory.
The external appearance along with ergonomics was a big consideration for this project. The client wanted to reinforce the contemporary side of the building by using a smooth white render. It’s a classic example of how this finish can be used to give a very modern clean appearance to an extension, which can also balance out a more traditional finish. An agricultural cow shed has been re-built and transformed using original Derbyshire stone to create a 2-bedroom ancillary dwelling with open plan living space. Floor plans showing the new arrangement. The planners approved this project within Greenbelt land on the condition that the character of the barn be retained in its courtyard setting. We reclaimed the original stone and took extra care with the proposed materials. Before the conversion the old cow shed was overgrown and unused.
